After participating in 200+ events, serving thousands of people, and preparing tonnes of meat, we’ve opened Smoking Shack Restaurant. Marriage catering

The food was amazing. The meat for the brisket, beef short ribs and chicken was so tender and rich in flavour. The side dishes were good as well, although I was expecting the macncheese to be really cheesy but it was great that it wasn’t because I’m not really a cheese person. The flavour was light, I loved it. The sausages were a little bit overcooked, I was expecting for a soft kind of popping bite, regardless it was still delicious. The fires were really good as well, it stayed crunchy after a 20 minute ride home. Maybe the experience would have been different if I did not order for takeaway instead. I think it would have been more amazing. Would recommend! ❤️❤️

This place is legit and if you really up for a good barbecue experience this is the place to be. I had the tomahawk and the way they cook is absolutely perfect and compliments with chimichuri and butter. I have also tried the pit stop and everything is delicious. I highly recommend and it’s my favourite place here in Auckland 😂💯🥩🥧🌮. I’ll be back 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥..ohh by the way the staff are nice and friendly and make sure you get an awesome meal and the ambiance is like you’re in Texas vibes 💯10/10, and lastly the dessert’s are madness I’ve tried the cheesecake and crème brûlée 😂so good

Really impressed with our dinner at the Smoking Shack! I’m from Alabama and have been living in Nz for almost five years and was really craving some BBQ. Smoking shack did not disappoint. We had the Wagyu short rib, pulled pork sandwich, loaded brisket fries, and the cornbread. I was really impressed with the corn bread and short rib!! The atmosphere is great - you’re basically just sitting in this shack with a smoker smelling the meat cooking while waiting. Great service. Would recommend booking a table - looks like it can fill up quickly.

Booked first table - we ordered the beef brisket which was perfectly cooked and also pork ribs, but the pork ribs unfortunately was quite undercooked. The two end pieces of the pork rack was cooked well but the meat racks in the middle was not cooked properly the meat was still stuck to the bone very pink and raw.  We were also charged for drinks separately at full price and the food was 50% off which we found odd and this is not mentioned on first table website, which is new to me as usually drinks are discounted too. - just keep this in mind when booking first able with the venue.

The team at the Smoking Shack is amazing very polite, patient and take the time to ask if everything is going ok and how the food is. I had first tried them in January for my girlfriend's birthday. She saw them on a TikTok review and was wanting to try it. It was a Saturday afternoon not too busy, heaps of seating and 5 of us had gone. We got the family spread for $174, which was most definitely worth it! So much food, it was fresh and even had left overs. I have tried a few other smoke places around NZ and this is definitely the best. I had a conversation with one of the owners, Varun. It was an evening when we'd went in and he was telling me how they cook the meat, how they started and was very informative about their company that he is so obviously proud of. We were there last night and had come a little late. After we had ordered our food Varun came out and just let us know he was low on a certain meat and was not wanting us to be disappointed. He compensated us with other extra meats and I asked him for some more of that green stuff 😂 which he happily brought out. We've been to the Smoking Shack about 10 times now and they never disappoint. So happy we came across this awesome place. 10/10 would definitely recommend.
